Hey there! I’m Sascha, a storyteller, worldbuilder, and lifelong fantasy enthusiast who believes in the transformative power of stories.

For years, I was in the tech and gaming industries, navigating the world of venture funding and working the infamous 80-hour weeks. I pursued a “sensible” path, but I never stopped being the sixteen-year-old who fell in love with storytelling through Baldur’s Gate 2 and the Dragonlance series. Next to the noise of my professional life, the wonder of creating worlds and stories of my own was a constant companion for more than two decades.

In late 2023, a health crisis forced me to reevaluate everything. It was the curveball that finally gave me the courage to fully embrace what I’ve always loved: creating and sharing stories.

I launched “The Tale Tinkerer” on YouTube as a hobby. To my surprise, a community of serious, passionate writers gathered almost overnight and showed me I wasn’t alone. The incredible response gave me the courage to leave the corporate world behind and dedicate myself to this full-time.

My Three Core Beliefs:

– Emotional Core: Stories only resonate when they connect to something true within us. I place no restrictions on technology—including AI—because the most unforgettable fantasy is always shaped from the human heart, not just the mind, and never by a machine alone.

– Systematic Creativity: Creativity thrives when guided by clear, actionable systems. Even the most complex fantasy novel can be written with clarity and confidence if you have the right process and tools.

– Meaningful Worldbuilding: Worlds aren’t built with endless details. They’re built with meaning. The best fantasy worlds reflect the conflicts and emotions of the stories they house.

My goal isn’t to teach the business of publishing. My singular mission is to give you the storytelling craft required to write a novel you are proud of. A novel worthy of being shared with the world. What you do with that power is for you to decide.

Today, I live on an old farm in Germany with my family, working on my own novels and helping writers like you bring theirs to life. When I’m not creating, you’ll find me deep in a game of Spirit Island or rewatching Lord of the Rings for the umpteenth time.
